Faith...or fear?
David Jeremiah says that age brings not only wisdom but also gratitude. Having lived over six decades, I don't know about wisdom, but I have come to know that an attitude of gratitude is a key to happiness. Unhappy people have difficulty in expressing thanks. Likewise, having possessions does not guarantee happiness. In fact, often those who are hungry tend to be more thankful than those who have more than they need.
Thankfulness and faith go hand in hand...and faith is the opposite of fear. A farmer who, instead of planting his seed, decides to eat his seed, seals the self-fulfilling prophesy of his doom.
God, help us to be frequent and consistent sowers that we may never see preventable want.
